On August 6, 1945, Shanghai's "Shenbao" published an article titled "The Origin of Father's Day on August 8th". The article states that the United States initiated the establishment of Mother's Day in memory of the wives and mothers of fallen soldiers in the European War. Now, China should also initiate the establishment of its own Father's Day.
